CHEMISEPT G is a colorless alcohol-based agent for preoperative skin antisepsis. The product has a broad-spectrum fungicidal and bactericidal effect, destroying Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including the tuberculosis pathogen and fungi. It deactivates both enveloped and non-enveloped viruses (including HBV, HIV, rota-, and adenoviruses).
CHEMISEPT G contains pure, low-volatility ethyl alcohol to reduce the risk of respiratory allergic reactions. After skin antisepsis, a long-acting disinfectant in the product maintains an environment unsuitable for microbial life for up to three hours. After this period, the normal skin microflora quickly recovers.
The product is colorless and suitable for use even in cosmetic procedures.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Preoperative skin preparation:
Treat the surgical area with CHEMISEPT G using forceps and a sterile swab soaked in the product, rubbing it thoroughly over the skin. Repeat the procedure twice, each time allowing a contact time of 1.5 minutes. Total contact time for skin preparation is 3 minutes. Incision drape may be applied only to dry skin.
In aseptic surgery, start antisepsis from the planned incision site and move outward. In septic surgery, begin antisepsis from the periphery and move toward the infected area.
Antisepsis before injection or blood sampling:
Moisten the injection strip with the product and treat the injection or sampling site. Take a new strip and moisten the skin again, allowing the product to dry. Contact time: 30 seconds.
Antisepsis before intra-articular injection, puncture, arthroscopy, or cannulation:
Moisten the injection strip or swab and treat the skin in the surgical area. Repeat the procedure with a new swab. Contact time: 30 seconds.
As CHEMISEPT G has passed tests for BVDV (HCV surrogate), vaccinia, adeno-, rota-, and herpes viruses, the product is effective against all enveloped viruses. These tests confirm that CHEMISEPT G is effective against blood-borne viruses such as HBV, HCV, and HIV, as well as virus families including orthomyxoviruses (including influenza virus H5N1) and herpesviruses (Herpes simplex virus).
The product complies with EN 13727, EN 13624, EN 14348, and EN 12791 standards.
